Stainless Thin Conductive Yarn / Thick Conductive Thread - 30 ft

This 316L stainless steel thread is somewhere between thick thread and fine yarn. Most sewing machines will not be happy with this thread because it is thick and has a "fuzzy" soft to the touch yarn, which makes it bad for most electronic textile/apparel projects. However, its high conductivity and softness make it a great yarn for making iPhone gloves!

Stitch a couple of inches into the pad of your gloves to keep your hands from getting tired while you use your iPhone, iPad or any other device with a "capacitive" touch screen. Because capacitive sensors sense finger movements by conduction rather than pressure, they don't work when you wear gloves-they act as insulators.
