Ajax ReX 2 Jeweller is a radio signal range extender designed to expand the coverage area of an Ajax security system while supporting alarm photo verification. The device utilizes the Jeweller protocol for transmitting events and alarms, and the Wings protocol for high-speed photo delivery, ensuring reliable communication across large facilities.

The range extender supports connection to the hub via both radio frequencies and Ethernet cable. When connected via Ethernet, the cable acts as the prioritized communication channel, allowing the system to cover complex environments such as underground parking lots, metal hangars, or multi-building warehouse complexes where radio signals may be obstructed.

The ReX 2 Jeweller features a built-in backup battery that provides up to 38 hours of autonomous operation in the event of a power failure. For security, it is equipped with a tamper button that triggers an immediate alarm if the device is detached from the surface or its body is opened. Alarms are delivered to the hub in no more than 0.3 seconds, regardless of the communication channel used.

The device is compatible with specific Ajax hubs, including Hub 2, Hub 2 Plus, and Hub Hybrid models. Depending on the hub, a single ReX 2 can support up to 249 connected devices. Management and configuration are handled through the Ajax mobile and desktop applications.
