Creality AF-01 is an automatic filament feeding and spool switching system designed to prevent print interruptions caused by empty spools. It enables automatic switching to a backup spool, which is particularly useful for long and unattended 3D printing tasks.
The system features 7 optical sensors to monitor filament position and movement precisely. The dual-gear extruder is equipped with hardened, wear-resistant gears and a 6.25:1 reduction ratio, ensuring high torque and stable feeding during frequent loading and unloading operations. The AF-01 allows for efficient use of leftover filament and simplified spool changes with one-button removal. While compatible with multi-color printing, manual cutting is required for color changes. Installation is designed for ease of use, connecting to extruder adapters and a power supply without complex wiring or software modifications.
