Spectrum PLA Electrically Conductive is a specialized technical filament designed for applications where electrical conductivity is required alongside the ease of printing associated with PLA. The material is based on a PLA polymer modified with carbon nanotubes (CNT), which significantly reduces surface resistivity for components requiring basic electrical conduction.

The filament maintains the standard advantages of PLA, including low shrinkage, dimensional stability, and the ability to print without a heated chamber. Finished parts feature a matte surface finish that improves aesthetics and helps conceal layer lines. Due to the presence of carbon nanotubes, the material is slightly abrasive, and the use of a hardened steel or ruby nozzle is recommended for long-term printing.

Electrical conductivity is influenced by the extrusion temperature. Testing of a 4 x 4 x 120 mm specimen (100% infill) showed that higher temperatures improve the dispersion of carbon nanotubes. Measured volume resistivity values include 120 Ω·m at 210°C, 103 Ω·m at 220°C, and 97 Ω·m at 230°C. For maximum conductivity, printing at temperatures up to 230°C is recommended.
