When attaching the hook magnet to a wall, it's important to consider the displacement force, which indicates the maximum weight the hook can support under optimal conditions on a vertical surface. For best results, carefully screw the hook into the threaded bushing as far as it will go. Full adhesive force is achieved when the ferromagnetic counterpart is smooth, of sufficient thickness, and when the magnet makes direct, full contact. Pot magnets can lose significant adhesive force even with a small gap of half a millimetre.
