The EstAlert KD-218A is a high-quality carbon monoxide detector suitable for even the most demanding users. The carbon monoxide detector is powered by 3 x 1.5V AA batteries - batteries are included with the detector (included in price). The carbon monoxide detector has a power and alarm control button. It also comes with a mounting bracket, screws and wall plugs to secure the bracket. The sensor has a service life of up to 10 years. The detector has a mute function - pressing the mute button silences the detector for five minutes. If it turns out to be a false alarm and there is no carbon monoxide, the detector will automatically return to normal mode after 5 minutes. If carbon monoxide is still present in the room, the detector will start alarming again; once the carbon monoxide is eliminated, the unit will remain in standby mode. Installation: Unlike a smoke detector, the carbon monoxide detector must be installed on the wall of the room. Follow the manufacturer's instructions when installing the detector. Experienced professionals recommend installing the sensor at what is known as "breathing height", that is, in the living room, at the level where a person's face sits on the couch, in the bedroom, at about the height of a pillow.
