LA4476

SKU:LA4476
LA4476
The LA4476 is a BTL-OCL (Bridge-Tied Load, Output Capacitor-Less) power amplifier IC designed for car stereo use, offering an output of 20W. It's manufactured by Sanyo (now Panasonic). The LA4476 is the pin assignment reversed version of the LA4475.

Key Features:

BTL-OCL configuration: Provides high power output without the need for output capacitors.

Built-in functions:

Starting time pop noise suppressor: Reduces unwanted noise during startup.

On-chip audio muting: Allows for muting the audio signal.

On-chip thermal detector/protector: Protects the IC from overheating (Tj=170 to 180°c).

On-chip overvoltage/surge protector: Protects the IC from voltage surges (Vccsurge=24V).

On-chip output pin-to-GND short protector: Protects against short circuits between the output and ground.

On-chip output pin-to-Vcc short protector: Protects against short circuits between the output and the power supply.

On-chip load short protector.

Small-sized package: SEP-14HS (Zigzag pins).

Use Cases and Benefits:

Car Stereos: Designed specifically for car audio applications.

High Power Output: Delivers 20W of power for a single channel.

Protection Features: Comprehensive protection circuits ensure the IC's reliability and longevity.

Reduced External Components: Integrated features minimize the need for external components, simplifying circuit design.

Additional Information:

The LA4476 has an inverted pin layout compared to the LA4470 and LA4475.

It is suitable for applications requiring robust audio amplification with built-in protection mechanisms.
