This charger module, based on the TP5100 IC, provides a complete and efficient solution for charging single-cell (4.2V) or dual-cell (8.4V) Li-Ion and Li-Po batteries.
Its high-frequency (400 kHz) switching design ensures low heat generation and allows for a compact footprint, making it ideal for integration into custom electronics projects.

- Input supply and 2S limitation: The module is specified for a general input range of 5–18 V DC; the manufacturer prefers 5–12 V. For a two-cell 7.4 V nominal / 8.4 V full-charge pack, the input must be above 9 V (recommended 9–12 V). A 5 V USB supply can charge only a single cell in 1S mode, not a 2S pack. The TP5100 is a buck charger and does not boost the input voltage. Solder the SET pads for 2S mode.
