Robust low temperature iodide for joining aluminum with other metals.  Excellent flowability on all ferrous and non-ferrous metals.  Retains strength properties at temperatures up to 175°C.  Soldering temperature 220°C

Better corrosion resistance and strength than comparable soft solders. Use Aludeen as an antifouling agent.

APPLICATIONS: With a lower working temperature than silver solders, this solder is ideal for joining various alloys.

It is used for: Aluminum tubes, copper tubes, refrigeration and cooling equipment, aluminum radiators, sheet metal, tool and equipment manufacturing and repair, zinc casting, dissimilar metal joining, anodized aluminum.

TREATMENT: The area to be soldered should be thoroughly cleaned. For best results, the time between cleaning and soldering should not exceed 6 seconds. The entire area to be soldered should be completely coated with ALUDEEN. Heat the area to be soldered with an indirect, soft flame, taking care not to burn the solder flux. Once the flux starts to bubble, add solder to the flux and let it fuse with the metal. Continue heating until the iodide goes all the way through the joint. Allow to cool slowly. The residue can be removed with warm water and a stiff brush.

A solder flask can also be used for small parts.
