The magnetic sensor can be installed in an LED aluminum profile (plastic or other diamagnetic material). The magnet can be installed on the door, up to 1.5 cm away from the top of the magnetic sensor housing. The magnet does not require batteries. It works well when the magnet housing is glued to the door with 3M tape. When the door is open, the LED turns on. When the door is closed, the LED is turned off.
