Shelly EM Gen3 is a compact smart energy meter for real-time monitoring of electrical appliance consumption. The device measures active and apparent power and uses up to two current transformers for contactless metering. The package includes one CT 50A current transformer, and the device is also compatible with a CT 80A transformer. Thanks to its small dimensions (37x42x16 mm), the device is suitable for installation in standard wall junction boxes, behind sockets, or electrical appliances.
The meter supports Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity as well as MQTT, HTTP, WebSocket, and RPC protocols. The device can be used independently in a local network or remotely via cloud services, provided that a Wi-Fi and internet connection is available. The built-in data storage records measurement history with one-minute resolution for up to 10 days, which can be exported in CSV and JSON formats.
In addition to metering, the device features a real-time clock, schedule support, scripting, and webhooks. To control an external contactor or load, the device is equipped with one dry relay contact with a maximum switching current of 2 A / 240 V~.
