Shelly Presence Gen4 is a high-precision presence sensor that utilizes mmWave radar technology to detect human presence, even when individuals are completely still. Unlike traditional motion sensors, it tracks up to 6 people simultaneously and supports 10 customizable detection zones within an area of up to 42 m². This allows for complex, area-specific automations in residential or commercial environments.
The device features multi-protocol connectivity, including Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5 LE, and Zigbee 3.0, and it is Matter-certified for broad ecosystem compatibility. A built-in light sensor provides ambient light level reporting (dark, twilight, and bright) for automated lighting control. The sensor is powered via USB-C (5V) and offers adjustable sensitivity to filter out movements from pets or robot vacuum cleaners. Its flexible mounting options allow for placement on walls, ceilings, or flat surfaces using the included stand.
