Shelly Flood S Gen4 is a battery-powered smart water leak sensor that detects leaks and sends instant notifications. Using large stainless-steel sensing pads, it also detects clean and low-conductivity water, including condensate and distilled water. The compact IP67-rated enclosure is suitable for installation under washing machines, dishwashers, sinks, and boilers.
The device supports Wi-Fi 6, Zigbee 3.0, and Matter communication protocols, along with Bluetooth 5 LE for setup. When a leak is detected, the sensor provides an alert via real-time mobile notifications and a built-in audible alarm. Connected to smart home systems (including Shelly Smart Control and Home Assistant), the device supports local automations that operate even without cloud connectivity, enabling actions such as automatically closing a compatible smart water valve when a leak occurs.
The sensor features two operating modes: indoor leak detection and an outdoor rain detection mode that can be linked to external automations. The device's battery lasts up to two years.
