The PeakTech 5220 is designed for the non-destructive measurement of coatings such as paint or plastic on metallic surfaces. Utilizing the eddy current principle, it is compatible with both ferrous metals (Fe), such as sheet steel, and non-ferrous metals (Non-Fe), including aluminum and copper.
The device features an easy-to-read dot matrix LCD display with backlight and automatic screen rotation. It includes comprehensive measurement functions such as minimum, maximum, and mean values, along with high and low alarms indicated by a red backlight. An internal memory stores up to 80 readings per measurement group across four separate groups.
Recorded data can be transferred to a PC via USB and managed using the included software to save information as text or Excel files. For high-precision requirements, the unit offers calibration and zeroing functions, making it ideal for the automotive sector, painting companies, galvanizing, and industrial metal coating processes.
