CTK Practic is a vibration-absorbing material. A self-adhesive mat based on butyl composite and polymers. It is characterized by a low resonant frequency, good surface adhesion, and very high flexibility. The outer layer of the mat consists of embossed aluminum foil with a thickness of 0.06 mm (60 micrometers), which provides mechanical protection, reinforcement of the damping material, and improved acoustic properties.
These materials are designed for basic and affordable sound, vibration, and resonance absorption in car body parts (doors, floor, roof, trunk, engine hood, upholstery elements, etc.). They can also be used indoors, for example, for silencers, industrial equipment, computer equipment, air conditioning systems, household appliances, and even tin sinks, shower trays, and bathtubs.
CTK Practic materials are well-suited for basic car acoustics improvement, such as installing or using car audio systems or updating sound insulation after body part repairs. The product is non-toxic, waterproof, does not absorb moisture, and does not degrade under weather conditions. It has anti-corrosion and sealing properties.
CTK Practic materials are self-adhesive, highly flexible, and easy to apply on both flat and complex-shaped surfaces. They can be installed in a wide temperature range without preheating, but maximum comfort is achieved at temperatures above +10°C. The surface must be dry, clean, and thoroughly degreased. To maximize damping properties, the mat should be firmly pressed after installation, for example, with a roller, to ensure tight adhesion across the entire damping surface and avoid air gaps. The self-adhesive butyl layer has self-vulcanizing properties, which further increase adhesion over time, creating a seamless bond.
