The UNI-T UT682D cable tester consists of a transmitter and a receiver.
Use: The tester is used to track telephone wires, network wires, and electrical cables without opening the insulation.
Functions: The UNI-T UT682D can detect faults in LAN cables and make adjustments to communication and audio/video cables.
Capabilities: The device can test cable integrity and check the polarity of telephone lines.
Suitability: Suitable for identifying the break point of a robotic mower's boundary wire.
How to use for finding boundary wire breaks:
Preparation: Turn off the system and disconnect the boundary wire connections.
Grounding: Use proper grounding - connect the BLACK alligator clip to, for example, the socket's ground terminal for best results.
Connection: Connect the RED alligator clip to the end of the boundary wire, and the other end of the wire to ground.
Activation: Turn on the generator and move along the wire with the receiver.
Note: Keep in mind that it may be necessary to excavate the boundary wire from the ground for inspection to better hear the signal.
Result: Signal loss = break point, which can be repaired with a waterproof Scotchlok connector 0.5-1.5mm² 600V Gel Find it here!
